HID High Beam

I doubt they would work as DRLs since you'll be feeding half voltage to them. the ballast probably won't have enough juice to ignite the bulbs.

You will lose your ability to flash your high beams if you do this.. Cold HIDs take a second to turn on and a little while to hit full brightness. And blinking them on and off is bad for them as well.
Flashing main beam when dipped are off will turn your HID dips on anyway, so whilst it's not great to do it it's going to happen to your HIDs anyway.
