Now if only maxrev or someone can help me here, the question is will the hks hipermax 3 be more suitable on the track that my current tein monoflex setup ?
My s2k has the usual bolt ons plus wing and will be on semi slicks. looking for a suspension setup that can improve my lap times.

For now, yes. I immideatly removed the CS and swapped to the HKS after the track day... if the means anything. 0.056 more seconds to go..

So was the "quicker response" of the HKS HM3s due to heavier spring rates (=less roll & quicker weight transfer), more damping, or a combination of both over the KW CS?

Im building a street tire, Time Attack AP2 and i want the ultimate coilovers for a 255/40/17 Tire setup.

Im debating:

J's Racing Crux
Tein Super Racing
Moton Clubsports
HKS Hypermax 3

How do the J's compare to the much less expensive HKS?

The cost really doesnt matter much to me, my question is this:

I know you have tested all of the above setups, so which do you think is the best overall setup for a track car with 255/40/17 Advan Neovas?

By best, i mean, which will make my s2000 get the best lap time and be the most reliable?

The HKS is definately the most bang for your buck. Maxrev did set his fastest time ever on street tires with the HKS coilover at buttonwillow.

With that said, all the coilovers you listed are great quality units, it really depends on your car's overall setup... fast times can be achieved.

 

if money didnt matter, how do they compare to J's Crux and Moton CS?
