Worked on the car over the weekend and got the billman tct installed. My mechanic came over and replaced my intake valve retainers with AP2 retainers. Decided to install the ssm catback as well.

First impressions... QUIET. not sure it's even as loud as the stock setup. Waiting on my header to be coated before putting on the test pipe . I'm sure that will wake it up a bit

revs to 6k at 1:35. Video makes it sound louder than it is in person. this is inside an enclosed (tinned) 40'*60' shop

It's good to see this thread still alive! Your exhaust will def break in and get louder especially w your header / test pipe.

Here is a video of a drive by with the exhaust. Car still the same... test pipe - everything else is stock engine wise.

yeah, that definitely sounds quite a bit louder than what I have going on currently. Keep in mind I would much rather error on the side of too quiet than too loud.

I should have my header back from being coated by tomorrow and might have it installed by the weekend if I find time. We received 3-4" of snow sunday night and the temps are in the twenties right now. In addition, I am just finishing up installing my replacement top this week, so the car won't be on the street for at least a couple weeks.

oh hmm.>

I've been slightly wanting to get an exhaust on MY04 instead of running the uk mod, but still unsure of it all due to my love of the alloycraft in the rear, lol.

I wonder if anyone could chime in on this particularly since the SSM has been on my radar

I have everything installed. The exhaust is awesome. It sounds like a legit race car without being obnoxious. Zero drone. Couldn't be happier at this point
