Default HKS w/ Berk hi-flow cat

I was wondering if anyone uses the Berk hi-flow cat with the HKS exhaust (ideally on an AP2). Does it kill the slight drone around 3k? And how does it change the sound of the exhaust?

Thanks

Anybody done this? Looking to reduce overall decibels and kill drone on my 70mm hks single (currently w/test pipe) by replacing the test pipe with a Berk HFC.

No. I'm running the EVS 70mm hfc and 75mm HKS single. It's tame to me around town but with the top up and/or expressway drone is borderline unbearable(I must be getting old).

So much so I've been looking at singles that offer a reduction in drone(EVS or Cleib since it has a helmholtz) or even possibly going to a dual.

I feel like the drone is worse on my HKS dual when I switch to the berk HFC.

mikeyds, thanks for the reply. Did you switch to the Berk hfc from stock, or a test pipe?

When I went to the Berk 70mm from the stock cat with my 70mm Cleib single, there was a little less drone, but the exhaust in terms of decibels also got louder.

Test pipe. I recall the TP being louder overall and having less drone. Still have both and have switched between a couple times. I prefer the HFC because smelling oil at stop lights gets old, but I think the HKS dual sounds meaner with the TP.

Hard to find many Cleib owners. Any insight into drone w/ top up or expressway driving?
