Default Honda Hardtop Question

Hi all,

I recently acquired a year 2000 s2k that came with the factory hard top. I'm planning on attempting to put it on the car shortly.

My question is as follows: does the hard top lock to my car with a "key lock"? As in, when I want to remove the top do I have to use a special key or do I use the key that I start the car with or is there No key used at all?

The previous owner did not give me a key for unlocking/locking the hardtop to the car. I also searched the installation manual and it makes no mention of a key.

Thank you in advance for any help with my question.

You unlatch the front by the press of a button and the back two you turn a handle. To remove the hardtop you need another pair of hands. When lift up make sure the back two pins clear or else you'll scratch up your paint.

Don't forget to detach you rear defroster harness at the clip point.
