If a dyno tuning shop tunes with your reflash on your car, won't you be able to go into it through a computer and see the details?

You can download the calibration as long as it is not locked. Most tuners do not lock the calibration. Our advice to is clarify this before tuning starts.

The FlashPro does not save the flash on the ECU when you install it. When you remove the FlashPro, you go back to stock. The 1$150 rebate recognises this.

There are calibrations which match the reflash - the S2000-US-2-Tuned calibration is as good or better than the NA reflash, and the Supercharger calibration will work very well too.
so you're saying the 2nd calibration on the flashpro is about as good as the reflash that hondata offers now?

even without any mods...will it still be pretty much similar

Sounds like the 2nd calibration does not include the VTEC engagement and rev-limit changes that their reflash offers.

^^ what exactly is it changing then....in terms of creating more power if like dstevens stated that it is possibly better than the reflash

Probably just timing adjustments and most likely adding more fuel(which most aftermarket headers require).

Those two changes are extremely easy--just a few clicks of the mouse and a few keystrokes. But the rest of the tune is hard to get right, and it doesn't sound like that's up to the same level of refinement as the reflash, although I don't know for sure.

I do wonder how long it will be before a lot of well-tuned flashes are out and public. It looked like Hondata is introducing the FlashPro primarily with start point tunes for general configurations, not precise, polished tunes such as the Toda reflash (and perhaps KW reflash).

chances are all the reflashes will be included. if not, tuning has been extreemly simpified by hondata - the main reason for buying flashpro.

to create the todo reflash for your setup is simple - you should download the software - see link below and watch the hondata training videos.

http://hondata.com/updates/index.php?app=F...action=download

1. change the vtec window to what ever you want - takes two seconds
2. change the rev limiter another second.
3. street tune the a/f - 30min to an 1 hour.

3.1 simply put flashpro in datalogging mode and do two or three WOT 3rd gear pulls from 3k to rev limiter.

3.2 download datalog to PC and the software will actually hold your hand and show you were to add fuel to smooth the a/f to what ever a/f you want
3.3 repeat 3.1 until you get a smooth a/f, takes maybe two or three literations.

3.4 set the air temp conditions so flashpro can conpensate for air temp and you don't have to retune from summer to winter conditions.

3.5 timing: to add timing for n/a setup you will have to do a little research. it's easy to add but you need to know for your mods what you can do. i think this is max'ed out for the stock engine but maybe a little room for folks on the east coast with 93 fuel. you can datalog the knock sensor just like the a/f (all at one time) to determine if you have too much.

here's a few of the many features you can control

- speed limiter for valet, shop, friends, etc.
- speedo correction for gears, tires, etc.
- throttle sensitivity adj (DBW adj)
- launch rev limiter
- disable vsa
- idle speed (cold idle and normal idle speeds)
