In my mind, the best stuff to do to an '06 is the valve adjustment, billman TCT, and flashpro.

This is exactly how I felt after getting a Hondata and tune, by Gernby. I don't like driving the car without the tune; I've been spoiled. The car just feels more powerful and more lively. I can cruise in 6th gear on the fwy (~70-80mph) and just lay into the throttle to overtake now.

Fine. Now I am beginning to think I might have to do this.

How do you avoid a bad tune? I can't imagine anyone knowingly going for one instead of a "good" one.

What is the bottom line?

It would be worth it except its impossible. Flashpro only works on dbw cars, '06+.

I forget the brand/company...but iirc, for the Ap1 and 04-05-Ap2, there's someone that sells a standalone ecu that comes with a plug-n-play tune that's supposed to be decent (of course, it is also re-tunable, for a better tune). I think is was around $1k or so. I forget.

Just have it tuned by an experienced e-tuner or on a dyno by a shop that specializes in tuning. Someone can really mess things up if they don't know what they are doing.

For your AP1 check out Karcepts and his Greddy E-Manage bundle. It'll transform your car.
