Hood damper
Damn those are pretty cool looking! If I didn't just recently get some SOS hood dampers I would give them a try.

My guess is the piston hits the head of the bolt when closing the hood. An easy fix would be to get some flat head allen bolts or somthing that would sit a little more flush to the fender.
I have them. They were a PITA to get to fit correctly. Had to modify them on a mill to remove metal where they fold together. And you do have to use a flat head allen screw for that fender bolt mentioned above (or leave it out). And even still the hood isn't completely flush at the windshield side. They were too big of a pain to recommend to anyone. Other options are cheaper, easier to install, and for better.
