Default Hood dampers

I was wondering which ones to get? And for a reasonable price.

Beware of the ebay ones... some open a quarter of the way only.

if your trying to source a cheap set, why not look into purchasing a used set?

I was thinking about getting them from password jdm. Are the nrg dampers any different ? Tiens are a little too pricy for me.

I bought cheap ebay ones "carbon fibre" however they actually look and feel like a decent quality item imo. These ones open roughly the same as where the stock hood prop would take it, maybe a little more. One of my favourite cheap mods And my friend was saying how he likes them because it doesnt open the hood too much, almost verticle like some of them do.

i like the SOS, but damn are they pricey. ^^^thats one of the reason why i like them. the other reason why i like them is that they dont rotate. my friend had one from pwjdm and his would periodically rotate where it attaches to the hood and would scratch up his paint. all dampers are likely to do this except Science of speed. i just dont see why none of the cheap companies or NRG copies SOS. its not like they have a patient on it or make it bolt to both the bolts on each hinge and it wont rotate.

i am going to get the SOS hood dampers soon. easy decision for me after reading a few threads on them. i don't mind the cost because i am not planning on modding the S.

Very well-thought out piece
