Default Hood spacers?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/S2000...Q5fAccessories

Would these be worth while in the AZ desert to help lower underhood temps alittle? Was thinking this opposed to cutting the hood.

I ran hood spacers on my S13 and saw no difference in hood temps. I ran with spacers, without spacers, and hoodless. Hoodless was the least amount of heat obviously, but an S would look bad hoodless. My S13 had a shaved/tucked/stich welded bay and my block was painted so I feel like it worked with that car.

I'm in AZ, and this was just about 2 months ago btw.

i had a bit higher spacer on my turbo 1997 miata - they reduced under hood temp quite seignificantly.
this is measured.

you can't imagine how many times i heard "man, your hood is open".

$29 bucks shipped? You could wander around home depot and make these for easily half that.
