Default Hot Dead Pedal

Guys....i had recently changed to 4.77FD...and somehow, when crusing without aircon, the dead foot pedal gets quite unbearably hot (est 7-80deg)...which also cause the whole pedal area to be filled with very warm air....

My guess is since i'm on 4.77, the rpm at cruising is higher, thus the header gets hotter which results such scenario...

Anyone else feeling this hotness?

Not sure where you're from, but the header is on the right-hand side of the car.

^^ The flag should give you a clue. Obviously he is driving a RHD.

The higher revs would make sense, is there any way for you to drive it for awhile at lower revs to confirm?

Hi all,
yup, I'm from Singapore driving a RHD S2000. Looks like none of you suffer the same fate as me. Guess the higher revs does heat up the pedal quite a bit..

I might have to fab some heatshield/mat to insulate the heat and yes, I love driving barefoot...makes me feel more connected to my car

I used to live on Leonie Hill Road in Singapore

I didnt think about RHD, you may want to try wrapping your header or have it ceramic coated.

this would be the first think i would do.

also, i'd think about maybe increasing airflow inside the engine compartment to improve cooling. there was a real good thread recently about increasing cooling within the engine compartment by opening up some hood vents.

another ex-singapore resident here.
OT, but you guys SAS grads by any chance?
