I have been quoted $800 US around these parts, I found this to be very expensive given the very cheap local labor. I might do the rears first and see how they turn out. The question remains, can they just refurbish the lip given that (one of the few stupid decisions by Honda) it is also a diamond cut surface?

It's the machined face that makes it more expensive, if it was just a matter of painting/powder coating them it would be cheaper.

Most all paint over whole wheel and do away with the shine frontal area.Because of corrosion there

I assume those are equivalent to the eBay knockoff ones? Wonder how they quality is.

Yeah, that I don't know. They look decent in the pics.

Asahi is being shown on some Honda websites for making the OE wheels now, could be the same outfit.

Autorim is advertising OEM wheels. (Some, maybe all.) Refinished, not replicas. I bought a full set of OEM AP2V2 wheels from a similar place for my 2006 when I bought the car in 2014 and it came with horrible black aftermarket wheels that weren't even the right wheel rim width. Ordered 2 front and 2 rear, they shipped 3, and back ordered the last one which took another month or so. Refinshed OEM just like Autorim is advertising. Reviewed the wheel castings and they're OEM or counterfeits. Supply and demand as for availability and prices. Gotta get them when you can even buying one or two at a time and waiting until you get a full set before buying tires.

No, it states very clearly in their description that they’re reproduction wheels.

They look good. If everyone has had problem with the clear coat and corrosion on OEM rims, these would be as bad or even better than OEM. I would always be concerned with the quality of the finish and the weight though.

Yep those exact wheels are the reproductions. Lots more S2000 wheels on their website including the refurbished OEMs. Practically all out of stock, of course.

What is causing the stock outs? I mean besides the S2000 crowd, are there any other Honda owners chasing S2000 wheels for their Honda or other branded cars? Or is it all of the AP1 owners upgrading from their 16" wheels? Given that these wheels were only offered for the 2004-2005 (as per my limited understanding), the supply will surely be limited and becoming much harder.
