Movit says on his website you need 65-70 mm between the original disc surface and the innerside of the wheel.
On my car fitted with OEM 17" 2006 wheels, that distance is 40mm.
OEM offset is 55 and width 7".
With 20mm gained with the offset and 31.75 mm gained with the width (half of 2.5"), you should have 91.75 mm between the original disque surface and the innerside of the wheel. And I don't think the spokes of the Ce28n are closer to the disk than the OEM.

Strange

Movit calipers are very big, AP Racing ones only needs 50-55 mm.

EDIT :
I have just understood the spokes are not moved as the width changes. So the distance between the spokes and the outerside of the wheel is bigger but not the distance between the spokes and the disc. It seems the Ce28n doesn't match the Movit calipers

yes that is strange. because the CE28N in 9*17 Offset 35 fix the T1R big brake without spacers. Do sombody now, how the size is from the T1R big brake? 4 i know that it is an 4 piston brake. but how wide is the brake?

and Who knows the Wide from the Spoon brake??

[QUOTE=ee8,Aug 31 2008, 04:29 AM] If the sizes on the wheels are correct then your movit bbk is probably bigger them most of the others...

CE28 7.5x17 et43 clear Spoon calipers without spacers and with 5mm they clear AP Racing BBK

CE28 8.5x17 et 47 or 40 clear Spoons without spacers and I think they also clear the Endless BBK

strange a 9.5 et 35 doesn

you cant sell stuff in this forum. dont be so quick to get rid of your wheels. why not run with the spacers for now, if possible. wheels with such offsets that you need wont even really fit under that fender, unless you get something narrow.

This is the reason why you need to work with "backspacing" and not offset.

Sorry to hear you are having such a difficult time with your setup.

Part of the problem is that wheel offset determines the position of the outside of the wheel lip to the fender and inside of the wheel lip to the suspension.
As you found out this does not mean that because a wheel has a lower offset which moves the wheel lip to the outside it will fit a larger brake caliper.
This is true even for the same model wheel like the CE28 in different sizes. Thats why there is a different dish or larger/smaller distance to the spokes from the outside lip.
Wether it fits a larger brake caliper is determined by the design of the spokes of the wheel and the thickness of the pad which is independent of the offset.

The best thing to do if you want to know if a volk wheel will fit is to contact the volk distuibutor in you country and they will contact japan to find out if a particular wheel and offset will work. You will likely need a schematic drawing with the measurments from your caliper manufaturer to send to japan

In your situation you could run spacers. Here is a link to a company that will make quality hucentric spacers in any size you need.
http://www.motorsport-tech.com/

Another option is to see if the Spoon Calipers will fit your wheels. If they will they are highly regarded by many and cost effective and flexible because the pad and rotor are stock size so there are many options out there.

In the US the distuibutor for Rays who makes Volk is Makin.
Here is a web contact page for Rays:
http://www.rays-msc.com/html/contact.html

Link to Rays Wheel site:

Ph# for Makin in the US:

If you go to another Volk I would suggest looking at the CE28N Competition. There is a front and rear wheel made for the NSX that is a 17x10 +52. You will need to follow what I said above to determine caliper fitmet.

Hope this helps
Good luck
