yeah man. imagine not having to pay for rent, utilities, and food and all the extra BS.

 

Seriously... if I could redo and had 7k, I'd consider no bolt ons whatsoever or any exterior decoration craps and go straight to turbo. Best bang for the buck and it turns a car into a whole different level.

 

I am in college (2nd year) I moved back home this year to get my left over money from school that would of paid for my housing. My parents payed for my first car. I was going to get a s2k but my parents got a devorce that year and the money wasn't their. So I ended up with a 2000 v6 stang. I put alot of money in it and was running 12.8's on radials and a 75 shot. One day in the rain I reended a buddy becuase he stopped a a yellow light trying to not leave me behind and I couldnt stop due to bald tires. Then I payed the difference to get a 2002 bmw 325i. ($4000) After a year of owning it and putting over 40,000 miles on it and having to spend $1200 on a clutch I decided I was going to get the car I lusted after when I was 16. So I traded my 110,000 mile 3 series and $1750 for a 2000 s2k with 80,000 miles on it. So I really have $5750 in my s2k thats worth less then 10,000. I pay insurance and 95% of my living exspensives and they pay gas while I'm in college.

ps- I've had a 20+ hour job since I was 16 years old (now 20), So its not like my parents pay for everything like for some reason you though.

I am running str next year and I do plan to have about 7k saved up before the season starts.

I'm gonna start with...

-coilovers (KW V3's or if I get spending crazy I might get some motons but I rather spend the money elsewhere and from what I hear the KW's are just as good 90% of the time) $1700-4k

-949 17x9 +52 all around with re11 tires (prolly what everyone in str will run) $1700 or so for wheels and tires

-solid bar $650

Thats gonna be the first 3 things i get. everything else will come based on what the fast guys run.


I really like motons but they are exspensive and I rather not spend $1000 every year to rebuild them.

Do you pay rent? because rent normally eats up atleast 20-50% of a persons income.
Do you pay your cell phone bill + utilities?
Do you pay for food?

Oh and btw i work 40+ hours, go to school fulltime (3rd year) and had a boosted 07 S. Soon to be re-boosted.

I dont get on this forum to talk about who pays for what and who gets the least about of free time. I have one thing in common with you and thats the reason why we all come to this forum. We own s2k's. Period. Thats it and thats all 95% of use give a shit about.

Now can we get back to topic. If you where prepping for str and had 7k to do so what all would you get?

WELL MOST of us would FIRST MOVE OUT AND STOP LETTING DADDY PAY FOR EVERYTHING.

Your the one who said "i pay for 95%" of my expenses. All i was trying to say was why dont you start paying for your own goddamn gas b4 you start modding. You wanna mod your car? you want to go into racing it? what happens when something goes wrong? Will daddy bail you out?

 

Actually I'll just drive another one our our cars until I pay to fix the s2k. I'm not spoiled at all? I just dont get what me talking about what everyone would spend 7k on if they where going to race in str next season and you have to come in a over take and post whore in my thread. This isn;t a convo about what everyone pays for. why are you so nosy that you even want to know that? If you dont have anything to say in my thread that has to do with the topic then please stop posting in it.
