Cool Increase horsepower

Can anyone please tell me the difference between an Air Intake Maximizer ($79.99) and an Electric Super Charger 2.5psi ($299.99)? I also need to know the difference between a Power Performance Chip X2 ($69.99) and a Performance Chip with O2 Sensor Control ($179.00)?

I have a husband who wants to increase the horsepower in his 2004 S2000. He has already had a cold air intake and header installed and is looking for cheapest next step.

I think he has a death wish, but what would I know I'm just a Woman.

Thanks

Tell your husband to save his money. None of those items have been proven to increase horsepower in any car. They may even decrease horsepower or cause damage to your car.

There are very few inexpensive ways to increase horsepower on this car other than some type of forced induction.

He needs to spend some more time and research on this forum or get in touch with your local s2000 group.

Well.. Ms.Kso2020

its not a huge increase of power (depending on the brand you get) but you should buy him a exhaust instead of what you just listed. if not i would go with a Apexi air/fuel.

buy your husband an ASM full exhaust and header ! or maybe an AEM EMS/K pro, or some jenvey/hayward ITB's !!

he will love you forever and never leave you if you do any of those

Honestly I don't think all the brand names are going to mean anything to you. No offence, but if I were you I would get a card and write down what you want to get him BUT put like $500 in the card and say get the right one that will suite the car!
I would be all smiles if my fiancee did that with me!

This.

I would rather the wife do this for me, than get me what she was told would be good to get. Who knows he may already have exhaust, and she does not know. Buying another exhaust may not be the best thing.

like the others mentioned none of those items are actually worth their weight as paper weights. Do not waste your money on them. They are snake oil.

the absolute cheapest mod will probably be a Test Pipe. But the down side is that it will make the exhaust smell bad which is espeically noticable with the top down.
