[QUOTE=07RioS2k,Apr 17 2009, 06:29 PM]I have the Injen CAI on an ap2.

Here's a picture with the front cut out like you requested.

I work out of the house so I don't have to worry about rain etc...

Sweet exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the replies fellas. I know I won't just trust plugging the drain hole as I will fab my own umbrella out of some plastic. What did you use to cut out the fake air ducts in your front bumper? Also what do you plug it with when your washing your car?.
Stab it with a knife in the middle then go at it with one of these cheap handisaws... 20 bux or so at walmart.

Its much easier if you remove the end silver metal clip on these cutsaws.

After just take some sandpaper and sand the edges of the cut.

Sweet, one last question does one just duct tape that area when washing?

I know alot of people are worried about hydrolocking the motor, and so am I. I would rather run a cold air intake on the s2k, so im interested on how this turns out.

I had a CAI on my 06 RSX-S and I went through a carwash with the motor running and had no problem. I dont think its that easy to hydrolock, im just waiting for enough confidence to actually take the risk on the S.

Keep us updated, I hate short rams.

sure hope u dont lose feeling in your clutch foot bro!

I am pretty sure you will be fine with a Cold air, unless your whole filter is fully submerged in water and you're reving it. I mean my cold air survived the high pressure water jets in the car wash.

good luck, keep us posted

Thanks buddy I should be pretty good, damn that its my clutch foot haven't even been able to go anywhere! ; what sucks the most is in July I have to go through this same process all over again for my right foot now. What kind of CAI are you planning on getting?

that sucks! i was actually leaning towards the injen intake, i really liked the grey pipe. im wondering how the fitting is compared to the aem though, i know they are shaped different.

You might want to check this out if your leaning towards in Injen intake

It is also black finish, as I wanted something of that type, I think I just might paint mine; I really do not like the polish look. I hate anything that resembles chrome; nonetheless I am still happy with the intake .
