Default Injen vs. AEM

All (and yea, I realize it's yet another intake thread) - would like your input on the Injen CAI vs the AEM V2. Seems like AEM is the most popular intake on this board, but I'm curious about the Injen b/c they claim some pretty impressive gains (~11 hp). So, anyone have any realworld experience w/ both, especially power-gain wise? Thanks!

They're both pretty much the same and it's really up to you what kinda finish do you want red, silver, polished etc.. and brand to rock.

I have had Injen intakes on prior vehicles, and I liked what I got. I can't "feel" any bump in horsepower with the S2000, but the Injen intake has definitely proven itself on other car makes. In this case, I knew I was gonna wrap the intake in heat reflectant tape, so I got the Injen because it was cheaper. LOL. Does sound good though.

One will save a lot more money buy purchasing the Injen, according to their website they are overstocked on s2k CAI. If I had $200 bucks I would purchase it

As far as sound goes, I was wanting something that sounded bomb then I just got an Invidia Exhaust so I can't really hear the intake anymore.

They literally are the same exact thing, i however would take AEM over Injen anyday. I do feel they sound different and i enjoy the AEM more. Why? just do.

i have both injen and AEM CAI(not on the s tho) and AEM felt better build.

heat resistant ceramic coating
rolled tube edge
AEM filter
reinforced connector

and most cop knows AEM=emission and modification okay by CARB

maybe injen up their quality, but it was no where near as clean as AEM, i been to AEM's HQ and it was impressive

if you ask me AEM is the leader and they get much more respect by investing in the industry, i'll pay more for a better product which will get better resell product(try sell a weapon-R or OBX knock off and see how many lowballer you'll get)
