i think at the least that is what you'll need. i also ended up needing a new castle nut, two cotter pins, two studs, and three 17mm nuts. stuff you break or damage can just be ordered as necessary. but, a majority of your bolts can be broken loose easily with a long breaker bar and a little sledge hammer.

I'm just gonna give it a go. If I break something I will run over to home depot as it is very close and find a temporary replacement until I can get one from a dealership. None of them near me have them in stock.
So whats the deal with thw ball joint separator people are saying you need also?

8mm is huge next to 6mm (almost as big as the head). the guy that installed the 4.57r has a 2004 and puddydad has an ap2 tranny, so, i'm guessing the revised bolts are 8mm (hence easier to snap).
I didn't realize the AP1 and AP1 driveshaft bolts were a different size. Sorry to the OP for stating the wrong info.

I can't believe people broke that many bolts! I didn't break one last night!

So with the 6mm bolts. Should I still try a quick jerk to break them loose? Or a slower turn?

got 4 of them loose easy. Two of them are stripping. Stupid design to use allen screws there. Don't know what they were thinking. Got all axle bolts off easy too.
I think I am going to try it without removing the ball joints and some people have said they were able to do. Is it that much harder trying to get it out that way? Is it much harder to put the new one in?
Will that mess with my alignment if I do remove the ball joints and all?
Where is the ABS sensor that I should remove first I have read about?

In order to pull the axles out of the diff, you need to remove the lower ball joint connection out of the hub to free up enough play, from what I recall.

post pics please, if this isn't a rediculously difficult thing to do then I'm going to look into this as well. How many hours did it take?

Some advice on the ones that are stripping, put your allen key in tehre and put a vice grip on the bolt at the same time...turn both and it will come lose. Make sure the vice grip is very tight and double wrench it if needed.
