They got pretty stripped and they are right next to the driveshaft so I can't get the vice grip close enough to really grip it. I think I might just use my dremel and cut the heads off and then buy 2 new bolts for there.

Went out and got two new hex head bolts should work fine until some oem ones come in.
Also picked up the ball joint popper so should help make things easier.
These two damn screws I can't get out are taking me for ever. Been dremeling them and the damn cutting wheels keep snapping. Been through like 10 already. Got one screw off and working on the other one. If only they hadn't gotten stripped it would have been sooo much easier so far. Still at that stage in the process.

You should be able to remove them with locking pliers. I did.

Yes same here...it takes a bit of manuvering to get the vice grips in there..but remember you only have to turn a small amount before they break loose. It helps if you have someone else working the vice grips while you work the allen. I went to a specialty bolt shop and they had grade 10 replacement bolts in stock.

Alright got all bolts off or loosened. Had to cut two of the allen head ones off. Popped right out once the head was chopped.
I have the ball joint popper so should make that really easy. Nothing else looks difficult at all. And it seems like to put it back in should be very very easy. Unless I am missing something. If it wasn't for the 2 allen screws would be like 30 minutes to get the diff out. Hopefully the rest will go smooth.
Can't wait to try out the 4.77's. Will still have to break them in unfortunately.

Fricken bolts attaching the diff to the mount suck. The one on each side farther to the back. Never frees up and is super hard each rotation. Not sure why. The other ones are easy. Those two are just fricken insanely stuck or something.

Threads might be galled. When you finally get it out you might see that the threads are a bit munched up in one spot.

after the prop shaft bolts everything should be easy 'cause at least now you can put a socket on everything else...

Hey didn't get pics sorry. But it is a very easy process providing you don't strip bolts like I did. That was the only issue, 2 of the allen head bolts for the driveshaft to diff connection and then for me two of the bolts (one on each side) for the diff mounts was all messed up and was super hard to take out. The threading on the bolt itself was destroyed. Luckily did not mess anything up in the mount connection at all.
Did the whole heat cycle break in process about 5 times before getting on it at all. The extra low end power is soo much more fun than before. I can now start in 2nd gear from a complete stop and it feels just how 1st used to. Does not go to bogg or anything.
The gears are short now, but I think it is much much more fun that way. Kinda like a motorcycle.
I can get going quickly even when jumping out in front of someone on the road without ever going into vtec.
Rev it up to around 5 or so and you are good.
I definitely get pushed back into my seat more than before. I have yet to try it with only myself in the car driving it hard. I did a couple pulls yesterday but had a 200lb friend in the car, so that would pretty much negate the gain I got.

As of now I would highly suggest the mod!
Don't expect it to feel like you got a supercharger or anything. Seems like that is what some people expect to get out of it. It doesn't magically transform your car into a whole new torque monster or anything. But definitely does make it more fun and I don't hate the low end pick anymore.
Any questions throw them at me..
