Default Installing Veilside V1 Spoiler?

Will be doing this mod today and was wondering if I need to do anything special before installing this with just 3M Double Sided Tape. This one is not the Carbon Fiber one so this spoiler IS on the heavier side.

- Clean the surface with Alcohol?
- Maybe heat it up with the hair dryer?

It will be 50f outside and no sunshine so I am a bit worried about this not sticking so well today.

Should I wait or go ahead and just do it? Any tips or tricks?

Thank You!

Stick it on and pray it doesn't fly off at highway speed and cause a horrible accident.

if you're really worried you should get 3m adhesion promoter.

otherwise your steps are fine. heat up the trunk surface and stick it on.

I agree with irv usc. Iv seen a few people use the 3m tape to put their spoilers on with no problem. I used it all the way around my front lip. I actually tried hard to pull it off one day and I honestly couldnt. haha

its not gonna work...just sell me the spoiler...

3m should be fine....let it sit for at least an hour before you drive just to be safe but your steps are proper..

lol

From what I read on 3m web site the 50% Bonding strength is achieved with in 20 minutes. 70% after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours. Hmm interesting.

I have the same spoiler in CF and just used the 3M tape. No problems after 10K+ miles.
