Greddy SE makes a great sound and is a very low drome exhaust system single and duel. intake well aem, injen and K&N are all good cheap intakes. stock is the best bet.

For the intake, if you aren't concerned at all about hydrolocking your engine, then a CAI would be the best. If you are, then any short ram like tha K&N FIPK, Comptech, or PRM intake are all good choices. As for the exhaust, if you are liking the HKS 75mm single then that is a good choice. Big piping diameter, isn't to much drone, looks pretty good, ect.. It would be best to find a 3" test pipe to go along with the exhaust also.

I have the HKS 75mm and love it. It gets even better with a 3" test-pipe. Very noticeable power increase once I put the test-pipe on and it sounds WOW.

intake i would say stock is not that bad, so go for the exhaust first. i got the HKS single, it is loud inside but somehow quiet outside, it does get a bit noisy at low rpm when it is brand new, but it will get better and better. if you feel the HKS single is a bit too loud or boomy(highway speed on 6th gear....), you can get a Apexi 90mm silencer, it is basically invisible from outside and fits really good, and with the silencer you lose a bit power, but in cabin it just sounds a bit louder than stock for DD, and when you go vtec it did not change the sound characteristic compare to no silencer, but just quieter, and my car still have the oem cat on.

i think hks single is one of the best sounding exhaust that does not hurt performance with a price tag that will not kill anyone.

or maybe check the invidia q300 single, it sounded good on those youtube videos, but just looks abit weird.

Hurt performance? Their's a dyno laying around that proved a 6whp gain bolted to the stock cat, with the stock computer. You'll really feel the power once you put a 3" test-pipe on. This I promise.

Thanks for all the input on the exhaust and info on intakes.
My brother owns an RSX type s and installed a Injen cai + the hydro guard that fitted onto the filter. It works fine for him, has anyone done this to their Cai on the s2000, and if so does it work well?

I read a thread where someone dyno tested their CAI with a guard sock on the filter and it made them loose quite a bit of power. Then the power went right back up with it off. Imo I would just leave it off, to hydrolock your engine you will basically have to fully submerge your filter, and you shouldnt be driving your S through puddles that deep in the first place.
