Default Intake Header Exhaust only?

I am a total newbie to performance mods but I know I don't want to go super c or turbo.

I would like to just do intake...header...exhaust only.

1. would this do anything significant to my performance?
2. do I need to have the car tuned after changing this stuff?
3. is Hondata the best way to go if I NEED to tune it? (I have an 05 with 11k)
4. has anyone used the Borla exhaust? I have been a fan in the past.

Thanks so much...this site is great

That exhaust stinks..... doesn't make ANY power.

If you want to make somewhat significant gains over stock, a cold air, 70mm test pipe and 70mm exhaust will yield some nice gains.

Go check out the naturally aspirated forum... there are official intake, header and exhaust threads that will give you anything you wanna know about each.

heard good things where??????? the VW forums? The movies??
first mods should be 40 hrs of s2ki.com forum reading.
This car is pretty much maxed out from the factory,...it wont see noticeable butt dyno gains unless you add forced induction.
ASM 70mm single exhaust shows best gains but it runs 1800, but the new HKS 75mm single ($680-ish) might be more in your area for price.
K&N Fipk intake seems to be the inake of choice around here unless you decide to do the Spoon/J's racing/ snorkle into the airbox mod.
But best bang for the buck without forced induction will be different gears for the rear end.

Didn't say i wanted to keep the mods cheap...I just said I don't want supercharger or turbo so I don't tax my engine.....because I realize that this car is pretty maxed out. It is a daily driver and I still want reliablility.

Doesn't matter where I heard that borla was a good choice. Just looking for some FRIENDLY advice.

By the way.....why won't anyone say anything about tuning?
