Default Intake Manifold Gasket

Can anyone tell me the differance between the Gizzmo & Hondata Intake gasket? Is one better than the other? They appear to do the samething and are priced about the same.

Thanks

Hadn't heard of Gizzmo until this thread...reading from their site it seems like the material is different. The Hondata is a high temp plastic. Sounds like the Gizzmo is a composite material using polymer resin bonded organic (paper/cotton) and glass fiber mats...otherwise known as Bakelite!

I had never heard of Gizzmo either but it sounds okay. I'd prolly go with the Hondata because of the name only but I'd give either a shot.

I want to install one of these in the near future. Maybe you could give us a DIY when you install it? I have no idea how hard installing one of these this is.

I currently block my coolant with stainless steel balls bearings. From what I understand the gasket blocks some coolant and isolates the intake from the head preventing heat transfer. I

It doesn't look like a fun job but that is a damn good DIY. I may do this some Saturday when I have nothing else to do ALL DAY LONG. After seeing those numbers the Honda gasket sounds like a great mod.

I would probably stick with Hondata just because many people have used them and not had any issues. Gizzmo may be just as good but I'd hate to do this job twice.

Dude, you got numbers on that GT35 setup yet?

And your old Vortech gets installed this Wednesday (finally).

Not yet. I'm taking my good old time. Just got the head back on after the ARP head stud/3mm head gasket install. Expect numbers around springtime. Let me know how you like the Vortech, your setup is very nice!
