Default Invidia Exhaust *NEED HELP WIT LOUDNESS*

I just recently put on a invidia v3 catback exhaust on my ap1 s2000, its stupid loud especially at low rpms... i love the sound but its just tooo loud inside the car.. and outside..

what can i do to lessen the sound... i still have my stock cat mounted on.. i am planning on replacing the b-pipe with the stock pipe w/ stock resonators. while retaining the y-split and the mufflers...

any inputs?... or ideas... i got a super good deal on this exhaust

Super good deal for a super loud exhaust. I can't imagine why

I wouldnt cut up the invidia and weld your stock b-pipe in there. Since you say you got a good deal on the exhaust why dont you just sell it, then buy something that you can bolt on and be happy with instead of hacking things up? You can get very nice exhaust systems for great deals here in the Classifieds if you just wait for them.

Try driving it for a while, you might get used to it! I own a Greddy ti-c single 70mm and i thought it was ear bleeding loud at first... now its not so bad.

I still vote to put the stocker back on, or try a different exhaust. I had a a no name ebay 60mm exhaust on my car a year or so ago and that thing gave me bad headaches. There was no way I would be able to get use to it, especially driving on the highway a lot like I do. I went back to stock for a while, now I have an HKS Hi-Power dual and love it. sounds nice and doesnt drone on the highway.

The only things you can really do is add a resonator... It's been done on this exhaust before if you search.

Did it come with the silencers? You could drive it with them until then.

It's a 70mm exhaust though with not much muffle... There's not gonna be too much you can do to reduce the sound.

A testpipe will reduce drone slightly at low RPM's but the exhaust will be louder up top.

I pretty much paid next to nothing for this exhaust... Can't complain on free stuff. But I do have the silencers but hate that ricey look of silencers... well I'm going to replace the piping back to stock and hopefully I'll help a bit... I heard that reduces the droning but still is as loud... Well I'm plaining on rocking this for a bit then see is invidia sells just the axle backs for the q300 v4 exhausts

Why does the title say v3 ap2 but you own a ap1? Not that important of a question but just an observation I made that caused confusion. To help your problem... I have a invidia v3 and yes it's loud. You could put a test pipe on and it would help a bit.
