Default ---Invidia test pipe questions---

Trying to clear up a few things.. please correct me if im wrong.

invidia 70mm test pipe has cel fix built in?

extending the o2 bung out a bit so its not directly in exhaust flow will be enough so the cel with come on.

test pipe gets rid of the drone.

theres 3 sizes 60mm, 63.5, 70

theres a 60mm invidia with extended 02 bung on craigslist for 50 bucks. is there going to be a difference in power from the 60mm test pipe for 50 or the 70mm test pipe for 90? im already running the invidia 70mm single exhaust.

lastly, does it lose power? i saw a dyno on here then went from 196 to 193 or something close to that after the test pipe was installed.

i rather deal with the drone then lose power, but if it kills the drone and makes even 1hp or stays the same, its worth 50 bucks to me

If you have a 70mm exhaust, go with the 70mm one. Mine is on the way, and I am going to use the Spark plug de-fouler method with the 1/2 drillbit deal....... I also have a Vibrant 3" Resonator on the way, I can't take the drone of the Invidia longer, even with a Turbo its too loud.

it essentially moves the o2 sensor out a bit taking it away from the exhaust gasses. A couple guys here used this deal and it worked. No CEL on any of them.

You wouldn't have a problem if it was a Berk Test Pipe. CEL fix built in. I've had mine for about 2K miles no problems. ::knock on wood::

what is the "cel fix"? it says the invidia 70mm test pipe has the cel fix built in.

is it just the 02 sensor bung extended?

Invidia 70MM has a built in CEL fix as well. It is just a little different design. There is material inside the pipe put in place infront of the O2 sensor to help keep it out of direct exhaust flow and not throw a CEL. Same concept as moving the bung out further with an extension just done internally.

You'll be fine. The older models are more likely not to throw a CEL (00'-05').
