So I ordered the Invidia TP with Cel fix and was wondering if anyone else has experience with the light coming on or not on a 08 (any drive by wire) S2000. If so i will get the cel fix from DME to be sure but would rather not spend the money. Thanks as allways

 

NO.. I thought when i ordered Invidia + cel fix it would include a "de-fouler" which is a small section of pipe with threads on the end which creates a buffer zone between your exhaust gas and the actual o2 senser. Instead it came with a weird miniture cat that sits infront of the o2 sensor. My check engine came on in 15 miles.. I bought the de-fouler ($5-$15 on eBay) and am still waiting to install. So lazy this summer.

 

mine has always bin on since i installed my invidia tp. when i reset my ecu it will come on within 15 minutes of driving.

 

i bought the cheapest defouler on ebay and havent had a cel in over 10,000 km's

 

i have an AP1 with the invidia TP and an ebay de-fouler but my CEL would come and go randomly. now my up stream sensor has gone out :-(

 

i have never had a problem at all with my cel fix. i have invidia's 70mm test pipe and its been about 20k plus miles and not one cel

 

i bought the invidia test pipe with cel fix too. but check light came on after only 10 minute of drive in MY00. i went to autozone and got some spark plug fouler and fix the issue. but now both of my up and down stream o2 die. but i also got new one coming to. so lets hope this work.

 

get an "O2 Bung" i actually have two 2 inch ones connected together just in case. lol no CEL since install about 6-7k miles ago.

 

basically the non-folwer will work on MY00-MY05. in MY06 the computers became more sensitive and its nearly impossible to fool the system. however get the test pipe without the cel-fix as it doesnt work on the invidias no matter what MY you have. Just ignore the CEL or get flashpro and turn the MIL off

 

You can get defoulers at auto parts stores. No need for ebay.
