Default Invidia TP Question

My Invidia TP came today and observing it after opening the box i noticed theres like a grease like film covered inside it with some leftover shavings, is that normal or should i wipe/clean it out good before throwing it on tomorrow?

The grease will probably burn off, but it wouldn't hurt to wipe it down/clean it before installing it. It was probably leftover from manufacturing.

why you ask? because test pipes are a lot cheaper than cats or hfcs. the power difference is negligible but the difference in sound is noticeable, for an hks dual exhaust anyways.

the smell you are referring to is just unburned fuel, which i dont think smells that bad. if you really care about the environment, sell your s2k and buy an electric car or take the bus.

OP : i see you will be installing it with an hks dual, you are going to love the sound =) im running the same setup.

I never cleaned mine. it's just going to smell like burnt plastic for 3-4 days that lets people around you know that you just got a new exhaust
