Default Invidia V4 exhaust coming loose

I recently installed an Invidia V4 exhaust in my 05 S2000 and for some reason the exhaust keeps slipping out of the hangers. Has anyone had any experience with this and if so what did you do to remedy this?

thanks.

Which hangers are coming loose? Sometimes the rubber hanger will slip off the front hook on the car from heat (the catback gets longer by .5 - .75" when hot). When cold, the rubber hangers should be well centered on the metal hooks.

I know several people have had this problem, including myself.
Right after I installed the exhaust, went for a test drive, and after about 4-5 miles, I pulled over in a gas station to check that the exhaust was OK. The passenger side had come out of two of its hangers and was about to scrap the grjound! Glad I checked on it.

Anyway, I know some people wrap zipties around the metal hooks on the exhaust to keep them from slipping out of the metal hangers. I went to Autozone and bought a variety pack of push washers. They are thick metal washers that push on, but don't pull off. You have to cut them off. I had to dremel the washer out, because there wasn't one in the pack that fit onto the exhaust hook perfectly, but it is on there tight and hasn't moved at all in 6 months. Great fix!

I installed one of these a few months ago and it came off the first test drive.

The solution was to weld a washer at the end of the hooks.

Not sure why Invidia didn't notice this issue.

all you guys with the problem have one thing in common: ap2 rubber hangers. you need to use the ap1 hangers with this exhaust.

I lost one of my hangers and replaced it with an ap2 one...thought it'd be fine, but that was the side that kept slipping off. went and got another ap1 hanger....no more problem.

the ap1 hangers just work much better with this exhaust.

( and yes, i have the q300 )
