You probably aren't considering the J's Racing Type-S hood, but I'd recommend it if you have a chance to check it out. I love my J's Type-S hood, you can get them for less money than the Mugen or the J's Type-V, if that appeals to you. The quality of construction is just as good IMO. The J's Racing Type-S design reduces front end lift, without increasing drag, while also venting the underhood region, much like the Amuse and ASM designs. Any water that enters the J's Type S opening does no harm to the engine bay as nothing really sits under that location. The Mugen and J's Type-V hoods have larger openings, so many people consider the rain trays. If you are comparing the Mugen and the J's Type-V hood then I'd probably go with the Mugen, but for the money I'd check out the J's Type-S.
