Amazing how subjective it is when it comes to rating the level of noise/drone. You've got to be joking when you said it can sound completely stock.

70mm single made of completely titanium is as loud as it gets, and no way in hell it will ever sound like a stock.

It's a great exhaust I mean, but don't let your excitement cloud your judgment on the level of noise. You must've forgotten how quiet the OEM exhaust is.

What I am saying is this exhaust is all about throttle position. for example lets say I am going 40 in 3rd gear around 3500rpms in the Invidia I used to own Drone would blow you mind!!! But in the Js if you hold the pedal just enough to maintain speed it is very low interior sound.

I guess What I am saying is there is hardly any vibrating/drone noise at all this exhaust even when WOT it is all out the back the sound does not build up in the cabin The only time it gets real bad is when you rev match and let the rpms fall from like 6k down. I also do have the CR and Hard top but always windows down since I have no A/C Dont get me wrong this exhaust is loud as F*(K but as far as being able to DD and tolerate in car noise levels for sure its ten times better than my old N1 duals

Not nessecarily. Do you know why the CEL is on?

Which sensor?

Usually, people's CELs are on for the secondary O2 sensor...which DOES NOT control fuel delivery. It's only a monitor to see if the CAT is there or not. That's ALL it does. It doesn't make the car run rich. If there was a CAT malfunction, the last think you'd want is to make the car run rich.

Depending on why the CEL is on, the car may or may not run richer than it should. CELs can come on from a variety of things from gas caps to engine fires/explosions.
His exhaust is a headerback. If the primary 02 sensor threw the CEL, He is definitely running rich(that's the air/fuel ratio sensor). If the secondary 02 sensor threw the CEL then it's either that it's not responding with the ECU or the sensor isn't getting warm enough. In any case, ecu is programmed to add fuel because its safer to run a little rich than lean...Very bad things can happen very fast if the ecu runs too lean.

You rate the J's 70RR's drone at 3 out of 5? Wait til' it breaks in and post back.
+1, i've went from OEM -> Invidia V3 -> 70RR ->60RS

The drone of the 70rr WILL be ALOT more than the Invidia, in fact the invida is tolorable when just driving around, the 70RR just won't shut up with making noise. Altough it's a beauty in vtec!

I guess some people can't hack it, LOL. I DD my S with the 70RR on it in SoCal. It also has the DesignCraft Fab ECS (iVTEC) conversion, and the exhaust seems a bit louder (probably due to the custom cam grind), but you can lower the drone by putting the top down... Either way, the exhaust sounds GREAT!

exhaust sits weird... like it should stick out a little more. Yours is hiding.

^^ Yes...Sensor doesn't communicate with the ecu and the ecu keeps adding more and more fuel. Ecu doesn't know how much fuel to run and makes it run very rich before vtec...Vtec is a little safer because more air is being let in to compensate for the fuel but still runs rich. When the sensor communicates with the ecu then it tunes itself and leans out a bit(especially in Vtec).
You have no idea what you're talking about. The ECU doesn't read the o2 in vtec because its in open loop at that point. o2 feedback is only used by the ecu for low load/cruising situations for fuel economy. You have no idea what the CEL is for so please stop spreading misinformation
