Default J's Racing intake question

Now I have a J's racing air intake, the one with ram air effect, and noticed something peculiar.

I do not have better quality pictures, but if you look at the photo closer , you will find the part where the air intake ends, the scoop, does not matched up perfectly to the hole on the J's front bumper. Hence not all the air going in through the front bumper's hole will end up in the scoop and in the intake. Invariablely due to the positioning of the scoop, some of the air will go in the engine bay.

I am wondering if I can somehow manage to seal the area behind the hole of the front bumper, such that ALL of the air entering the hole will end up in the scoop and up the intake, will this assist in the performance of the air intake?

any views?

this pictures will show the scoop is not totally align with the hole and a peek into the engine bay.

If you can't adjust it to fit flush with the hole, then try to create some sort of plastic director; thus this would block the airlow to the engine bay and direct it to the rest of the scoop.

thats what i am planning to do exactly

But till i do it and put it on a dyno, I wonder how much more effectively it will be.Having some of the air going into the engine bay as it is currently might be good as it cools the engine bay? Or to use a plastic director to force 100% of the air to go in the scoop might be better. hmm
