J's Racing Rear Big Brake Kit Details
The short end of the story is...I contacted Seido-Ya with a few questions regarding compounds....They in turn contacted J's Racing who in the end answered my questions. In the mean time Kazuo Miki @ J's Racing Japan answered a few questions I had about the rear ventilated rotors and I figured I would post it up here for anyone that is interested.
Kazuo Miki @ J's Racing Japan
"Rear Big Brake Caliper Kit is really effective.
That is developed from a lot of test(Choosing material of the pad and
aperture of rotor) in Official Race like a Circuit Time Attach and
Super-Taikyu.
We can promise the greatest Brake Touch, Capacity of control, feeling of
Brake release.
A weak point of S2000 is rear brake. It's a high power rear wheel deive
and weight balance of front and rear is 50:50. So, rear brake got a lot
of stress.
But, Genuine rear brakes have only small capacity.
So, a lot of trouble happened because of rotor temp increase.
For example, in Super-Taikyu, rotor temp increase around 650degrees.
So, wheel hub got heavy damage.
But J'S RACING rear big rotor can keep rotor temp under 350 degrees.
<Effects>
* More stopping power : make good balance with front brake.
* Keep low rotor temp : Protect "rear hub", "hub bearing", "drive shaft"
from heat
* Can use genuine hand brake : Can use on the street.
Especially, it is good for the car which lost balance of front and raer
because of front big brake.
Also, it can keep low rotor temp by changing genuine solid 1peace rotor
to ventilated 2peace rotor.
So, it can protect from a lot of heat troubles.
The new type rotor have 10 slits and that makes rotor temp low.
And that slit can control film forming. It can make brake release feel
better.
It can use inthe racing circuit and on the street.
This is the must item for the poeple who want to be the fastest driver.
Most of J'S RACING car(Time Attach car, Super-Taikyu car) use this brake
kit. So, don't worry about effects. "
Translations is pretty good
