Default Js Racing vs Seibon

I bought a seibon CFRP front lip and it prompty cracked, now...im thinking of buying the J's carbon fiber front bumper and am concerned it will be just as brittle as the seibon CFRP. N1 Concepts assures me that CFRP is the more durable option(versus FRP). Is it??

J's carbon products are top of the line. I have a seibon Carbon hood and it is garbage. I will never buy from Seibon again

Well front lips are prone to get damahed because of their location. If cf gets hard it is going to crack, now if it cracked without much abuse than that is just poor quality.
J's racing makes great parts but like any cf it can be brittle under certain circumstances.
Good luck

Ive never purchased frp, is that closer to oem material? More flexible vs brittle?

more flex in frp, cf can be brittle under shock loads hence why kevlar is introduced as that takes shock better... cf is more for strength and kevlar for dynamic loading

pretty sure that's right but not 100%

it's closer to OEM materiali but nothing the same. FRP is much much harder and more rigid. it takes abuse very well and is super strong. I have been very impressed witht he rigidity of my spoon bumper thus far.

i think good carbon fiber used by oem's and real race teams would be "more durable." however, in our markets, i think the fiberglass products tend to be stronger, as the carbon products are made to be lighter and cheap enough for people to afford.

that said, yeah, seibon stuff is junk. cheap crap made in china. you get what you pay for.
