So I'm trying to remove my center console to install these products but I have an factory alarm light right on the console. I can't detach the wiring to the light. Any solutions other than cutting the wire?

Here's another problem:

The sides of the leather console cover doesn't have holes or cutouts. How am I suppose to attach the plastic push pins through it? In the directions that JPM supplied, the sides had holes.

 

Where are on the console was the light installed? Have any pictures?

 

The red alarm light is installed just below the E brake lever, to the right of the coin slot area (I have my garage opener in the slot here).

 

The OEM dealer installed security LED has a 2 pin connector, it can be unplugged.
