This is a really great intake. I love the sound of it and i can actually feel it! All across the rpm band it picks up quicker and easier and i can see it getting through the gears faster. Even my biased friend who owns a mach one said he could feel it just being a passenger in the car! I got it really cheap off ebay for $212 shipped and it took 8 days to get here. Come to find out that that ebay seller was committing fraud hence the low price but i got my stuff for cheap so im happy. I highly reccomend this to anyone looking to get an intake thats actually makes a difference, and the carbon fiber filter was a nice little surprise too.

 

yes it is a nicec, cheap, and effective intake. dont forget to make a radmat you can cut a little hole in the radiator air guide right below the airbox for a better ram air effect. i did this and took of the front peice of wheather stripping to let the fresh air flow into the front of the box and it make a little difference. worth the two seconds it took

Tell me more about this ebay seller. I bought mine from him as well. What excatly was he doing?

 

I am not exactly sure what the guy was doing but i got an email that stated he had broke one or more of ebay rules and about half way through they said that fraud is not accepted which is obvious but if i had to guess it would be that he was getting them through someone he knew at K&N for either free or cheap because they come directly from K&N and all the guy sold from what i saw was K&N fipk's. He sold them cheap for every car too, usually $50-$75 under otherwise great prices. I may be jumping to conclusions and just be way off but that seems to make sense to me. Either way he is no longer allowed to sell on ebay so it must have been something pretty serious.

 

I ordered one from the same ebay seller too, $75 less than anywhere else. ap12ap2, I think you're right because it was drop shipped from K&N and absolutely no communication from the seller. I got the same email from ebay a day after I received the intake. anyway, I got a nice deal so I'm happy.

BTW, it sounds really nice at WOT and especially in VTEC. Seems to drive a little smoother too but may just be in my mind.

 

anyone know if the j's racing strut tower bar clears the intake?

 

Yes - i have J's STB w/ ETD and it clears fine
