It's obvious the airbox where the filter sits is a bit restrictive due to the fact that it only allows airflow from the upper and frontal area of the car...


but would i be wrong if i cut out some holes or even an entire section to allow more air to hit the intake box. Pardon me if I'm not using the proper terminology........

but would i gain anything from it this....???

maybe a more aggressive sound????

 

its getting plenty of air....... the reason its like that is to keep hot air OUT!

aka heat shield.
