Default KARCEPTS KNOB vs RICKS VOODOO REVIEW!

I've been using the pearl voodo shift knob for 2.5 years and I decided to look for something that felt more solid and smoother for shifting. I looked everywhere for a heavier shift knob and I found Karcepts stainless steel for $60 free shipping and no tax weighing at 605grams (1.35 lbs). When you compare Karcepts shift knob with TWM big type R or desert eagle heavy stainless steel (600grams) for over $105 and moddication stainless anvil (450grams) for over $60, it makes Karcepts the best bang for your buck!!!!!! TWM over priced IMO but they do make really good shift knobs. If you compare blox n skunk2 knobs with moddiction, moddiction is a bit pricier for the same weight as well.

The voodoo height was comfortable for daily driving but doesn't feel good when I shift into 5th and 6th gear. The pearl coating on the voodoo shift knob felt like cheap plastic toy for the aluminum coated texture but I love the height/color in my car.

Karcepts sits at stock height compared to my leather wrap oem shift knob and it feels perfect with the shifts. I'm pretty sure no one here tried the Karcepts shift knob on their s2k but i'll tell you that it's pretty damn good.

Here are the pics:

Thank you Karcepts, I'm probably the first s2k owner to review this and very satisfied!!! It looks exactly like the nsx type s shift knob

Karcepts Shift Knobs comes in three different materials and weights (Polished Stainless Steel 605grams for $60, Black Anodized Aluminum 205grams for $50, Black Delrin 105grams for $40)

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a stock height heavy smooth shift knob.

How deep is the Karcepts threading? I have a Voodoo knob right now and I'm very satisfied with it.

I didn't use any nut bolt and I twisted the shift knob as far as it went so I'm not sure how long the threading is. It's pretty much stock height.

Voodoo height and look kept me satisfied for a while but wanted a better quality feel and it felt too light and a little cheap for my taste.

on the karcepts website if you buy all three shift knobs combo pack it's 100+tax free shipping so its pretty cheap for the 3 shift knobs.

I got mine from corsportsusa.com free shipping n no tax. =)

I have the black anodized Karcepts and it's great on either the OEM or Axial Flow shifter if you prefer a heavy knob. Another thumbs up for this well made knob.

you just spent 60 bucks on a knob, but called the 60 dollar moddiction knob overpriced?

i think this knob is interesting, but a lot of people would prefer the height adjustability. i definitely prefer the shape of the knob you have posted over the round ball, but would want it to sit lower than stock. is that possible with the karcepts?

I think the Karcepts one is ugly as sh!t. I'll stick to my Voodoo until I decide to switch to a black one.
