Default Koyo or Mishimoto

Im just curious if anybody has any info on which radiator is better. I havent heard much about the mishimoto since its newer. But is it the same quality? And i know it comes with a radiator cap but if i got the mugen cap, would i need to get the different cap like i would have to with the koyo? For $100 less im leaning towards the Mishimoto.

IMO, you can't go wrong with either one....

I have the mishimoto. No complaints, other than the GReddy radiator cap I wanted to put on it wouldn't fit. I'd like to find a radiator cap, other than mishimoto, that will fit.

Don't have one on the s2k, but I have a Koyo on my Prelude and I'm extremely happy with it.

any particular reason you feel the need to upgrade the radiator?

My Mishimoto has been great. I just installed a week ago, cause my OEM rad was leaking.

I was trying decide between the koyo and the mishimoto too. The $100 less is a plus and I was told that the core of the mishimoto and koyo are the same (not sure if this is true, maybe someone can verify).

I'm no expert, so I basically just trusted the shop that sold it to me. So far, I'm very pleased with the product.

I have a Mishimoto on my DC2R. The quality is excellent and it has been faultless in the 4 months i've been running it. The only negative i can add is that i had to remove my a/c fan due to the rad being thicker than standard. Wasn't all bad tho as i just removed the whole a/c unit to make the teg lighter. That probably doesn't apply to the S2K tho.

Cheers

Would a spoon cap fit? I was planning on changing my radiator as well due to leaking at the neck. Ive seen Mishimoto in person and its a well built radiator...

My understand is the welds on the Mishimoto are not as nice as on the Koyo, but I'm sure it does the job just fine. I've had my Koyo for 4+ years now and it has worked flawless. Keeps the coolant cool even without any fans.
