Default Are the left & right axles the same on a S2000?

Well i never have fun in the S2000 much unless I am at the track. I was at ym buddies shop and they wanted a show, go figure. I did a burn out and SNAP. I heard a big boom. We jack the car up,and I split the tripod into the CV axle.

What I am wondering is,, is the right & left axles the same? I thought they were and I didn't pay attention when installing them and not looking or noting the differences.. if someone could let me know that would be great. I think Im going to buy (2) low mileage ones soon.

They are different lengths. The left shaft is longer than the right.

I don't believe it's impossible, but it would be difficult to assemble with the axles in the incorrect positions.

When you say backwards, if just mean the diff. side into the hub, yes. Impossible.

The diff side bolts in, the hub side is splined.
