Default License Plate LED installation

I'm sorry if the answer to this question has been addressed before, but I tried searching and found no real answer.

How do I get the cover off the license plate light housing to install a led bulb?

Sorry for the noob question

Just pry it off, with a small screwdriver, and pop it back in,after the replacement.

Two plastic tabs/clips on either side. One on left is in the middle of the light, one on right is towards the front of the car.

I used a small flat head to pop them in and down.

I just used a knife and proped it open from the back side of it. it was really simple. Just make sure that when you pull the old bulb out and throw in the new one that you test it before you throw the cover back on. Its normal if it doesn't light up. If this happens to you, just simply take the bulb out and turn it(changing the contacts) and install it back in. Test it one more time and it should work. As for installing the cover... it just snaps right back in. Hope this helps!

Make sure its securely back in place though. I closed my trunk one day and the cover came off, haha.

I never put led lights in the rear but you should put led bulbs for clear sidemarkers if you want. I don't want cops to see my rear license plate so I just used regular light bulb. what color did you get?

I got them in white, its not too bright, but looks a lot better than the stock bulbs.

I don't think a standard bulb will make your plate invisible.
