Default Looking for more rasp?

Sup guys!
So I recently installed my Invidia Q300, After I did abit of research and watched a lot of videos this exhuast seemed perfect for what I wanted, I was looking for an exhuast that isnt obnixiously loud but screams up top.
However there is a bit of an issue, down lown (2-5k) revs it has a nice rumble and a deep tone which is what I was looking for, However when I put my foot to the floor and enter VTEC it literally sounds exactly the same as stock or maybe just a touch louder, I think the problem is I'm looking for a little more rasp up top, nobody likes too much rasp as it makes the car sound ricey but a little rasp makes it sound just perfect, Im running the stock cat, no headers and no cold air intake (have the lid removed from stock airbox). I'm not too knowledgable on cars however I'm learning, so I'm wondering if a testpipe will add the rasp I'm looking for? or maybe headers will do the trick?
If you guys could help me out on this that would be great!

Drill a 1/4 hole on the exhaust. Just playing, DO NOT DO THIS!! Test pipe should do the trick

The q300 is notorious for rasp with a test pipe. I got rid of mine because of the rasp.

My friend who has a Miata did that, I can't even begin to explain to you how bad it sounds!
The funny thing is he thinks it sounds great! Oh gosh..

What setup are you running now? HFC?

I have a greddy single with a test pipe. Absolutely 0 rasp. I don't like rasp. Most people don't but some do so the q300 with a test pipe might be ok

Give the Q300 a few thousand miles to break in before you start changing things.
