It looks fast too!
After putting some tips on the Dingle last night, and performing my Drone-O-Meter tests, I'm blown away by how drone-free this muffler is! I don't think I've tested any muffler that had this little drone, exept for the stock setup.
Here is a comparison at WOT from the Invidia Q300 with OEM cat, Q300 with Gern-Pipe, and the new Dingle.

Here is the same comparison using an electronically limitted throttle to simulate achieve a "cruising load".

After putting the stock intake back on, I decided to make a new video. It still sounds way louder on the video than it is in person, but I don't know what else to do. It sounds very clean and refined from inside the car, and has just the right amount of "gurgle and pop" between shifts IMHO.
Note that the tips were just tacked on in a half-assed manner, since my bumper is so jacked up. We will put much more effort into the tips when the muffler is installed on Driv300MPH's car.

You should record an S with stock intake/exhaust and tell people it's a dingle with Magnaflow model xxxx to see what kind of reaction you get
Would it be cheaper to make a catback version that doesn't involve your mid-pipe? It would probably also allow for more tolerances in the design and fabrication.
Assuming that with an HFC or test pipe it would still sound similar (aka quiet) and not drone. I would be on the list for something like that ASAP.

I think you missed the point of my efforts. I believe every "conventional" aftermarket exhaust, HFC, and test pipe should be removed from the market. Furthermore, I believe every aftermarket company needs to move into this century by implimenting some form of my design. The only reason why I'm building a muffler is to speed up the migration from old tech to new. There isn't much about this muffler design that would make it worth producing on its own. It took me all of 20 hours about 22 months ago to build my first Dingle with a straight 3" header-back pipe, but it took another 1500+ hours to reinvent exhaust theory while developing the mid-pipe.

However, for something like this, that would have high demand (lightweight single muffler, good sound, dual tips) could provide a good cash inflow, especially as many here on s2ki already have high-flow cats and testpipes. If it used OEM tips, you could make it even cheaper, as you don't have to provide a tip.
From our PM conversations regarding tuning and the OEM catback on my car currently, you know something like this is almost exactly what I'm looking for.
Just an idea, I would love to get an exhaust like this, but as you have discussed earlier, it isn't STR legal.
I see what you are trying to do, in that you want to change the entire exhaust system from the header back.

That's not what I'm trying to do. I'm not trying to start a business building exhausts that are just marginally competitive with other shitty exhaust systems. The only thing exceptional about the dingle is the Gern-Pipe. I have no interest in producing any exhaust (ever) without a Gern-Pipe for any car. I'm just considering the option of building the Dingle muffler ONLY if it will increase sales of the Gern-Pipe.
As for the STR rules, we don't even know what the new rule will be. I believe the "STR version" of the gernpipe I built would be STR legal for 2013, but it probably won't be legal for 2014. Once the rules are released for 2014, I may consider offering another version that would satisfy the new rules.
