Default Loudest intake

I was sitting around today and started to wonder what intake made the loudest noise. The FIPK is famous for being loud what is there something else out there louder?

Thats right up there, but pulling the lid off the stock box probably still takes it.

I have a custom 3.5in sri with K&N heatshield (basically a beefy K&N) and it is the loudest crossover ive heard from any other S2000 around me.

^ I have a custom 3.5" CAI! It has a 7" velocity stack and filter at the end which give it a whistle at part throttle, but by god the vtec crossover if you want a loud intake don't settle for anything less than 3.5"

AGREED! Even the K&N which states it is 3 inch isin's truly a 3inch. Im hoping once the summer is gone here in Miami to change up to the same 3.5in but as a CAI.

I have no experience with those so I can't really say, but what I can tell you is that the cost to build my own air intake was around $200 and there is definite gains throughout the midrange. My vtec kicks way harder now so with a proper tune lowering its engagement I would be able to pick up some good midrange torque. There are also some people on here that mine was based off of who have actually tuned and dynoed and they have picked up lots of midrange and I believe a few have gone past 230whp (obviously they have more mods). Definitely the best bang for buck air intake

Any ITB setup without an air box is much louder than anything mentioned here

Get an Injen or AEM CAI. I used to have the K & N and the Injen is by far louder.
