I got the Harbor freight aluminun low pro, pretty cheap and seems to work well, no problems yet.

I have the Craftsman one in my garage right now, and the hydraulics doesn't work after 4 years of regular use.
I'm not sure if it's broke, or I should add oil and do some maintenance.

I have the Craftsman jack(#2), it hasn't failed me yet. A few buddies of mine have had theirs for 2 years +, still going strong.
I heard you can return it within the year at Sears and buy another one, that way you can have warranty for life.

I'd recommend the American Forged&Foundation low profile jack.

I have the one that HvRRZ posted the link to. It reaches the front central jacking point without any prep to the car. Just roll it under the front license plate and raise the car.

I will caution you, this jack weighs about 80-100 pounds and requires some room to work the handle. But I think it is the lowest, heavy duty, durable jack you can get.

Though the S is not a heavy car, I have read stories about the light racing type jacks bending

I bought this one because I wanted to buy a jack once and not ever have to replace it. Just my 2 cents.

Try to find this jack locally. Shipping is high because of the weight. I am in the parts business and I went over the minimum needed to spend to get free shipping. Just an extra expense to consider.

I have the craftsman low-pro with LED and it works fine. Best part is if it fails, who cares? Just take it back and they give you another! Craftsman warranty =

Craftsman jacks are not covered under the lifetime warranty. If you look at the documentation it is probably a year or less.

Timely topic, I'm getting ready to buy one and was just at Sears looking over the weekend. I've heard good things about the Omega, other than its heft. But that's a steep price tag. Arg, decisions. Can you get an extended warrenty on Sears jacks, like the insurance that Best Buy/Circuit City tries to sell you all the time?

my craftsman 2.5ton aluminum is a maintenance whore. The u-joint broke so you have to release it by hand. It makes a decent track jack due to its lightweight, but my next home jack will be an AC Hydraulics.
