Default manual rack conversion

I have a fried eps control unit. has anyone come across a successful manual rack conversion?

not to offend anyone, but im not looking for pros and cons or for anyone to try and talk me out of the conversion. I am fully aware of the consequences of my actions.

thanks for any help you can give me on the matter.

rsr did a hydraulic power steering conversion out of a 3rd gen rx7 using an electric pump. the build was for d1 drift competition. they wanted power steering without speed variable resistance. good idea for the drift circuit but not quite what im looking for. still a bit heavy and expensive.

On a Miata I used to have I converted the power to manual by removing the pump and connecting the rack inlet and outlet hoses. I have no idea if that will work on an S2000, but it worked on a Miata.
