Default Megan header on f22c?

I'm swapping in an f22c into my 01' AP1, and someone just offered me a Megan header for a good price so I was thinking about going for it.

I thought I had read (on here, and on the megan website) that the header was only specifically made for AP1s, but also thought I had seen where some people said it would work on the f22c and make power...

Anyways, what do you guys think?

(dyno graphs would be awesome)

Try the official header thread in the N/A section of this forum; a couple of individuals have ran Megan headers in Ap2's.

Just searched through both threads and didn't find much.

Should work fine. The port sizes are identical between f20 and f22. Exterior of the motor (port locations, dimensions, etc.) should be identical between the two mills.

Only differences are cams, crank, pistons, valve retainers/springs, and valve cover, I think (motor-wise)... And a few miscellaneous electronic things, that have nothing to do with an exhaust header.

Exhaust valves on the AP2 are different than AP1, I believe, but that has nothing to do with the ports (it has to do with the amount of flow going through the ports).

Exhaust headers just connect the exhaust ports to the catalytic converter/test pipe. Different paths to get there, but same function.

How is the swap going? Hopefully she will be up and running soon!

John

i installed a Megan Header on my 04', ran into no problems installing the header, sounds good with my test pipe and Invidia exhaust.

Yeah I ended up buying it.

So now I have f22c swap + K&N FIPK + Megan Header + Greddy Emanage Ultimate.

Should be interesting to see what kind of numbers it makes. Don't really care as long as its more than stock lol.
