Default Megan Racing Radiator

Megan Racing Radiator. Great unit so far. I did notice clearance problems with my K&N fipk heat shroud which was an easy fix, just left the mount bolts out but one and bent the mounting bracket ever so slightly. No problems with install except one big one... 06+ DBW S2000's use a smaller coolant temp sensor than the 00-05 and won't physically thread into the radiator without a bushing adapter. Of course it is NOT included. Impossible thread sizing means nothing local, only found avail through Mishimoto and Science of Speed for a hefty fee (~$40). This is my daily and I couldn't afford the car to be down, I drilled out the pipe plug that came with the radiator with a 11/32nds drill bit, used the correct m10x1.25 tap to match the 06+ coolant sensor threads. When I put it together the cheap rubber oring on the plug disintegrated and began leaking coolant on the maiden voyage. I found a 5/8" ID aluminum reinforced oring at work, about to install it this evening. I would suggest anyone to replace the drain cock oring as well, the orings feel very brittle and cheap... they will just break when torqued. For the price, it can't be beat. I would have no complaints ONLY if I knew about these little issues before hand, I put myself in a situation lol.

Hope this helps anyone in the future with 06+ DBW cars.

I have a 06+ DBW. I replaced my stocker with a passwrd JDM No name aluminum Radiator that had similar capacity upgrades as others, anyways. It had the ap1 thread for sensor and an ap2 sensor thread for drain. I just extended the wires like 8" ran the sensor to the drain and left the plug it came with in the sensor spot as a drain if I want when the time comes. You should check yours lol that seems like a lil extra work, but whatever gets ya there.

That was the first thing I tried lol. I removed the drain plug to install the sensor but it kept getting tight as if the threads were the wrong pitch. I suppose I could of chased it with the tap but drilling and tapping the big plug was the same work.
