Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 or Bridgestone Potenza RE-11
Hi All,
I'm looking at buying a set of new tires this spring and was wondering if anyone here has used or is currently using these tires for street / lapping. The wheels I have are stock NA ap1 16inch. Any real life reviews would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

One of them is all season...the other is a track oriented summer tire.
I'd buy the bridgestone RE11 if you're planning to use it on track as well as DD. Or Dunlop Direzza Z2's. I'd suggest the Bridgestone RE71R....but that's a waste unless you're really trying to find the fastest street tire and don't care how fast it wears.

I've got AS3s on my daily E46 ZHP 3 series. GREAT tires on the street, and I even autocrossed them once. They performed better than I was expecting for an all season, but the RE11, ZII, RS3, and especially the RE71R are in a different league altogether. My original ZIIs on my S2000 are pretty good in the dry, and for an EHP tire are great in the wet as well. I can only imagine the current SS is better in every way. I'll be putting in some laps on RE71Rs tomorrow, but those may be overkill for you. Figure out what you want from your tires, and find the tire with the least compromises for your goals.

Apples to oranges. Thats like asking, "What should my next mod be? Cold air intake or Full race turbo kit? They are in two different leagues. You need to evaluate what the tires will be used for, and then go from there. If its daily driving 95% of the time, those Michelins will be good enough. If you want more track focused tires, yes, Go with those RE11's. I had a set of Dunlop Star Specs once, and I only daily drove them (got them for free). and as grippy as they were, life expectancy out of them was horrible. Not a great choice for daily driving unless you have money to blow. And they did not do great in wet weather as well.
