Default Milltek Exhaust Fitment Issue - 07' AP2

Curious if anyone else had fitment issues with their Milltek dual outlet exhaust?

The center piece is making contact in the "tunnel" - I installed it myself and tried my best to adjust the exhaust to get it to clear better with no luck. Took it to a reputable shop that does work on S2k's (mods etc) and they spent over an hour trying also with little luck. It no longer is making contact in forward gears but in reverse it still knocks and they had to twist the exhaust quite a bit to achieve this where the tips are obviously out of alignment.

So far all reviews boast perfect fitment so I'm thinking perhaps I got the one defect?

Do you think perhaps the bracket for the hanger was welded in the wrong place causing it to hang too high??

my best advise is to have a friend pull it to the side while you bolt the exhaust down to the cat. In addition, you can also have some play with the hangers as well.

If all else fails just wack the tunnel with a mallet.

I thought of giving the tunnel a lil wack lol.
The shop had a couple ppl pulling on the exhaust while they adjusted it.
The shop is recommending putting a flat spot in the exhaust to get it more clearance.
I'm hoping Milltek sends me another center section - I'll start there.

I would bend the hanger to give you enough clearance if GOGPWS2K advise doesn't work

Did you find a resolution for this?
I have a 2008 and im having the same issue, no idea how to make this fit, its tight up there
Not really to anxious to smash the tunnel with a hammer

first, loosen all the bolts and readjust the exhaust. 2nd, bend the exhaust hanger that you can see in the pic, 3rd get some new tires

Did this work for you?
I feel if i bend that hanger to get it to drop, I may have an issue with the pipe being too low and sitting on that small cross brace that gets dropped to install the exhaust
And yes new tires will be coming soon.

i have a different exhaust...

looking at the pic, bending the hanger at more of a 90 would move it away from the impact point.... though I think loosening and readjusting would likely solve the problem
