Wink Mishimoto Raditor

I got this rad for $250.00 Shipped. I don't need the extra cooling, however I like the Bling Bling of an aftermarket raditor.

The welds look decent, however the CAP looks & feels like garbage. I will be using the J's cap as a number of the Koyo caps have failed.

Anyway the fitment is supposed to bolt right on (installing this in a few months), as for the build and welds

PICS (I polished the radiator a little bit, however it did come pretty shiny from the factory.

Dude, if you did a full DIY on this I would forever be in your debt! I will be installing mine mid February once I get back from deployment. But if not, then I will post mine with a full DIY and hopefully you will be able to use it.

Cheers

its really easy..
1. wait for the car to be cool..
2. drain the coolent.
3 .Unscrew the two 10mm bolts on the radiator stays
4.unplug both fan switch harnesses attached to the cooling fans.
5 take off the two large hoses running to the top and bottom of the radiator connected by hose clamps
6. unplug the fan switch that is plugged into the radiator on the bottom right.
7 the radiator and fan assembly will slide right out..

the only thing that could give you a problem at all would be the hose clamp on the bottom hose in step 5..

to install the mishi if your using the factory fans again and not the mishi fans and shroud bolt that to the rad first and slide it back in.. Fits just like OEM and will fit with factory airbox and k&n FIPK with no issues..

I sold mine... Its for bling only .. the factory rad is very good.. if you really wanna reduce hot air temps under the hood its more effective to get the hood vented IMO

Where do you get the mishi fans at? I have a koyo and its identical to this from what I see in the pics, I have one 10'' fan and one oem fan and I need to replace the OEM fan because the shroud hits my AC.

Are you planning to use the stock thermostat and fan switch with that?

i would ( and am ) if the car is n/a. i have the koyo radiator installed on my car and we also put in the mugen thermostat and fan switch. the car ran too cold....like it would never reach 3 bars ( on an ap1 ) unless sitting in hot traffic. temps were like a consistent 156 degrees or so on the freeway.

took it out and it went up about 12 degrees or so....a much better operating temp.

can't speak for the mishi radiator, but the koyo radiator works very well. it's not for bling only.

definetly reduced temps as proven w/my defi gauges, and it slows down heat soak a lot. the car rarely reaches over 200 degrees...and if it does, it has been idling for a very long time.

this mod isn't a necessity, because i agree, the stock one is pretty efficient. but it is most definitely not just a bling part.

make sure you are using the aftermarket radiator sized jdm caps. there's two sizes...the oem size one will crack or blow off. you need the slightly oversized after market one.
